After completing teacher training, resident potter David Lane studied ceramics under David Ballantyne at Bournmouth School of Art.

He makes a wide range of domestic stoneware, which is oven, microwave and dishwasher-proof.

Individual pieces include vases, decorated bowls, jugs and lamp bases.

More examples of these are on the 'Individual' page.

Inscribed bespoke ware includes dishes for weddings and anniversaries; house name plates, named dinner or coffee sets and mugs. These are all made to order, direct sales only.

Most of the work is hand thrown, but some individual pieces are partly coiled or hand built, and some press moulded pieces are also made.

All the pieces are fired at 1220c using a range of coloured glazes derived from the Bristol type of glaze.
